About
Naval Intelligence analyst turned data viz engineer turned platform product leader. I've worked at the intersection of engineering and product across defense, cyber security, graph analytics, distributed databases, and legal tech.
Today I lead cloud platform migration at NetDocuments and push the boundaries of agent tooling in enterprise R&D. I care about the craft of shipping real systems — from the TCP layer up to the product roadmap.
Experience
2023 — Present
NetDocuments
Leading monolith-to-AWS microservice migration for a 6-region legal DMS. Owning migration integrity for 30B+ object snapshots, OCR redesign (~1000 pages/min throughput), data governance (FlexStore), CMEK compliance, and DLP. Pioneered agent-driven knowledgebase tooling across R&D — mapping code repos, support docs, marketing materials, and org structure into a maintained, linked knowledge system.
2022 — 2023
Amazon Web Services
Built the data plane frontend for DSQL on a 5-person team. Contributed to a TCP L4-7-4 proxy, high-density KVM sandbox hosts (600–1500 µVMs per host), deterministic tests for TCP half-connection bugs, backoff jitter corrections in drivers, and proxy metrics scaffolding. Handled ~300 technical customer tickets on concurrency control and driver behavior.
2019 — 2022
Bantam Technologies
First hire in the Kansas City office. Conceptualized and built Enzo, a $3M ARR graph analytics SaaS platform (Neo4j, Kafka, spatial/temporal queries). Grew the company from 3 partners to 40 people. Introduced trunk-based development with feature flags, cutting delivery times by 50%+. Built CI/CD pipelines, automated SDLC, and proved distributed horizontal graph scaling.
2018 — 2019
Wells Fargo Cyber Security
Lead frontend developer for the Cyber Security Analytics Platform. Built pivot tree dashboards and cardinality exploration on an 80-node Elasticsearch cluster. Designed drag-and-drop ETL pipeline stage management with custom JavaScript stage authoring.
2016 — 2018
Sierra Nevada Corp & PRA Health Sciences
Cyber data analytics, intelligence, forecasting, and data visualization for the Department of Homeland Security and Fortune 50 companies on the IKANOW platform. Consulting at PRA to modernize a 20-year-old Perl monolith through short, high-impact integration projects.
2014 — 2016
IKANOW
Built cyber analytics and data visualization applications for Caterpillar, Wells Fargo, and other Fortune 500 clients. Developed complex, adaptable application modules across disparate data sources.
2007 — 2011
United States Naval Intelligence
NCOIC for imagery and signals fusion at US Africa Command (Molesworth, England) and lead imagery collections analyst in Bahrain. Led seven analysts through the Libya and Ivory Coast crisis teams. Wrote 150+ intelligence reports, earned 3 PDB attributions, planned 500+ surveillance flights protecting US interests in the Persian Gulf.
